- Work with user agencies and with vendors to bring about cost reductions.
- Develop a continuing program for staff and supervisory training.
OBJECTIVESCreation of this division represents recognition of procurement as a centralized activity. In order to make an effective contribution to the county of which we are a part, must be attuned to and oriented toward the overall objectives of the organization. Centralized purchasing objective is to achieve savings through the application of efficient management techniques, especially through volume buying. Saving may accrue by combining volume purchases, proper planning and coordination and improved specification and standardization.
